What's that?

Scientists has known
this for at least 5,000 years. Yet it
was kept secret for thousands of
years. It is only taught in exclusive
groups, although it has been used
every day by the most famous
organizations and companies, since
ancient times, permeates the entire
universe, and is, therefore perceived
by everyone. Even today.

The world has changed

Most people didn’t even know this concept. It means to live in the present. Most
people don’t even notice the beauty in the details of the present movement,
while they are constantly day dreaming about a better future or thinking about
their happy or bad past.

Embracing my Artistic Journey: My Delight in Learning the Hussar Method Embracing my Artistic Journey: My Delight in Learning the Hussar Method

Recently, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in the world of figure drawing
through the Hussar Method. I can safely say that I had never considered myself of
having an artistic talent and had always believed that drawing was something I would
never do.

The world has changed

The civilization of our modern age has the tools to destroy this wonderful
planet, or make it an even more habitable place. The technical achievements of
our time are a great source of information and open up may opportunities. In the
world of computers and smartphones give the opportunity is there for anyone to
be able learn, including self-taught. While the majority just play games on their
phone, the more demanding ones also use it as a learning tool. The possibility is
given to everyone, but due to the indifference towards learning the majority do
not take advantage of it.

Quality time
Most people didn’t even know this concept. It means to live in the present. Most
people don’t even notice the beauty in the details of the present movement,
while they are constantly daydreaming about a better future or thinking about
their past, whether happy or sad.
Living in the present is not the same as simply focusing strongly on our current
activity. It becomes quality time if we also feel good during it. If you
concentrate on your task while working, it`s not quality time. But if you are
chatting with your friends, having a dinner together or going for a romantic
walk holding hands with your loved one, than it’s a quality time. You can enjoy
the quality time alone too with those activities which give you happiness, and
mentally or physically give challenges, and build your personality to a higher
level.

Castle of the arts
The highest level of quality time is the arts. The arts are the finest tone our
minds. For this reason, since ancient times, the arts have been close part of the
both noble families living in the elite social classes and these who living in the
poorer ranks. From folk music to opera, from wood carving to painting all
without exception are value creating activities that raise the minds of creators to
a more advanced level.
Unfortunately, our modern civilization increasingly favours practicality over
artistic values. Martial arts became combat sports. The number of drawing
classes at school was reduced. Instead of the fancy handicrafts minimalist goods
took over their places. These are made on assembly lines and flooded the
shelves.

Rock&Draw
Just as it is only worthwhile to create with passion, teaching is also more
effective with passion. Tonchi created methodology, the Hussar method in such
a way that from the first minute to the last it fills our students with a sense of
success and that teacher and students spend quality time together at our
academy, or online through the internet. It has the basics from rock music: a
rebellious style and freedom, which anyone can embrace and learn to draw
beautifully. The experience of creating is really quality time spent with yourself
and other artists too, as a band.

We are just drawing, but thanks our work we can give more. We give the most
valuable art creation, next to the positive feelings, which no one can take it
away from us. Let`s join in our free lessons to be a part of this magic and to feel
that passion, which is already part of our life. We create quality time for
everyone, which will be an unforgettable experience for every attendant.

Embracing my Artistic Journey: My Delight in Learning the Hussar Method

Recently, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in the world of figure drawing
through the Hussar Method. I can safely say that I had never considered myself of
having an artistic talent and had always believed that drawing was something I would
never do.
I was housebound after a workplace accident when my friend suggested I should join
her on a drawing course taking place over a weekend. It was something I could
manage with my very limited mobility but with a self-assessed ability of maybe a
conservative 1 out of 10 and no drawing tools I approached the weekend with a little
apprehension and not much hope of ever making a recognisable worthwhile
drawing.
The first thing I had to do was to show a free hand sketch of a portrait which we
could compare to something which could be achieved just 2 days later. The sketch
was embarrassing, the same attempt as what I would have made at primary school
because it was something “I couldn’t do”. The class itself was small which meant a
nice personal touch and it was reassuring to see examples of other “before”
sketches like mine and examples of the after which were awesome, but I thought
would have taken months, if not years of study and practice.
The first part of the class was learning about the Golden Ratio and how important it
was, not only in an artistic sense but that it as been used for centuries in many
different, important ways. We were taught the individual aspects of a portrait, the
skull, the eyes and then the nose and the mouth and finally the hair. Each lesson
was informative and confirmed the importance of the Golden ratio.  After 1 day I was
surprised that you could physically see that progress was being made . Now it was
time to put all the aspects together and draw a portrait.
I was enjoying the process now because you could already see and recognise what I
was meant to be drawing. Building the portrait was a proud moment for me and
instilled a love for drawing which will remain a hobby of mine now that I have had the
privilege of learning the importance of the Golden Ratio through the Hussar
Method. Perhaps the most rewarding aspect of learning the Hussar Method was the
sheer joy I found in the process. Despite the challenges and frustrations that
inevitably arose, there was an undeniable sense of fulfilment, the portrait after 2 days
I would self-assess as a 5, I may never be able to sell my sketches and make a living
from it but it is one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done.

I would highly recommend the Hussar Method and as the ancient saying goes, “if I
can do it, so can anyone” but I can only reiterate that in this case, it is most definitely
true.
